Guangzhou, Guangdong -- (SBWire) -- 12/06/2010 -- In August 2010, the fixed asset investment in Chinese pesticide industry reaches about USD 3.13 billion, up 86% over the same period of last year. This includes USD 1.91 billion of the investment in chemical pesticide industry, an increase of 71.7%, USD 1.22 billion of the investment in bio-pesticide industry, an increase of 113.6%. However, the above investment still goes through a month to month decrease compared with July 2010.

From Jan. 2010 to Aug. 2010, the investment in pesticide industry reaches USD 2.53 billion, up 36.2% over the same period of last year, which covers 38.5% of the total planned investment. This includes USD 1.05 billion of the investment in bio-pesticide industry reaches, an increase of 70.8%, which covers 41.5% of the total pesticide investment, up 8.4% compared with last year. On the other hand, the investment in chemical pesticide industry reaches USD 1.48 billion, up 19.1% over the same period of last year.

From Jan. 2010 to Aug. 2010, about 388 pesticide investment projects are under construction, an increase of 6.0%. Among them, the new construction projects of pesticide are 240, only increased by 6 compared with last year, 150 of which are chemical pesticide projects and 90 of which are bio-pesticide projects. On the other hand,154 of them have been completed, 109 of which are chemical pesticide projects and 45 of which are bio-pesticide projects.
