Prescriptions for a Healthy Home with Paula Baker-Laporte FAIA, BBEC and Dr. Rebecca Risk
There is a growing amount of unregulated chemicals in our homes, and we have little awareness that they are even there. The dangers of these chemicals, and the huge health implications is often not recognized by most people, but it is becoming a growing concern. Paula Baker-Laporte discusses safer options with Dr. Rebecca Risk to protect you and your family.
Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWire) -- 06/17/2016 --"Once I learned the facts, I could never again allow certain products techniques, or equipment to be used in projects with which I became involved."-Paula Baker-Laporte
With over 88 000 chemicals in our environment that are unregulated, this is an important topic for anyone. Our homes are our castles, and for those who are chronically ill, our safe havens. But what happens when our safe place is contributing to or causing our illness? Paula Baker-Laporte shares the information in her book "Prescriptions for a Healthy House: A Practical Guide for Architects, Builders & Homeowners." Whether you are building a home or just a home owner wanting to buy a new couch, this show is informative of the dangers of the toxins associated with these decisions, and how to make more informed, healthy choices for your home, your family and of course, yourself.
As a sufferer of Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), this topic was very important for Dr. Rebecca Risk. She coaches her patients regularly on how to change their lives and exposure to chemicals, and this show is a must for anyone wanting to protect themselves. Although some people don't have extreme sensitivities, long term exposure can do anyone harm.
"Laporte's books inspired us when we built our eco straw bale home. We are looking forward to hearing this interview and her suggestions for changes within the home that can help to achieve a much better quality of personal health."

Dr. Risk has dedicated her life to guiding those who have fallen through the cracks in our health care system to achieve wellness so they can live their lives, instead of just surviving. Tune in to Falling Through the Cracks, broadcasting live every Monday at 9 AM Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel.
