Musikfest 2016: How Drop-A-Box Helped Make It Happen

Stockertown, PA -- (SBWire) -- 09/30/2016 --This year at Bethlehem's Musikfest, Drop-A-Box donated 20 storage units so that volunteer staff could safely store food and other essentials throughout the 10-day event (Aug. 5th-14th).

Musikfest was started in 1984 by ArtsQuest, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing the community together. The first event gathered more than 180,000 people to the town of Bethlehem, where 295 total performances on six stages fascinated the eyes and ears of many. The festival has been going on for 34 years and continues to attract the interest of people of all ages.

Many say that Musikfest is the largest and most diversified open-gate free music festival in the country. Over the past few years, there were about 500+ shows on 13 stages. During the most recent events, more than 900,000 people came together to enjoy all the food, music and other spectacles. Run-D.M.C., Dierks Bentley, Boston, Bush, Chevelle, X Ambassadors and Lady Antebellum are just a few of the many popular bands that performed at the Sands Steel Stage at PNC Plaza this year.

Drop-A-Box generously donated a large number of storage containers to help make the festival a complete success, once again. Artists, performers, vendors and the festival's staff were all able to store food, equipment, belongings and other necessities thanks to their pod moving services in Bethlehem, PA. With the great support of volunteers and sponsors, Musikfest was able to bring just as much enjoyment to its community as it has for the past 34 summers.

Along with Musikfest, Drop-A-Box sponsors other events hosted by ArtsQuest, like Oktoberfest and Christkindlmarkt. By donating close to 30 units per year for nonprofit events, it's clear that the professionals at Drop-A-Box recognize the importance of community involvement. From vendors and local musicians to well-known bands and corporate sponsors, everyone involved in the planning of an annual event plays an important role in building a more tightknit community.
