A week before the event took place, the school's principal attended a weekly huddle at ImageFIRST's Los Angeles location not only to prepare the associates for the toy drive, but also to explain how most of the children who attend the school come from low-income homes.

The drive, which took place on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, kicked off with the company's associates heading to a local store to buy toys in the morning. Over three dozen associates and their family members attended the drive and managed to raise a total of $11,000 for the Grant Elementary School. Associates donated half of the money, and the other half was matched by the Los Angeles location itself.

Grant Elementary School's principal stated that he was happy the Los Angeles location selected his school as their charity of choice this past holiday season. He explained that he was particularly thankful because many of the school's families have to decide between purchasing gifts for their children during the holidays or putting food on the table.
