Varanasi, U.P -- (SBWire) -- 02/02/2011 -- Consistent and untiring effort of Center for International Relations SMS brought another laurel to SMS in terms of a strategic Alliance forged between School of Management Sciences, Varanasi and UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista) Brazil.

UNESP is one of the largest and most important Brazilian universities, with distinguished achievements in teaching, research and extension services. UNESP is the most successful model of a multi-campus university in Brazil.

MOU includes the implementation of Faculty and Student Exchange Programmes in accordance with existing government and accreditation policy, both institutes will cooperate in the area of training and capacity building at the partner institution as much as possible, both institutes will encourage collaboration amongst faculty in areas of research and curriculum development. The other important point which is covered in the agreement is that both the institutes will collaborate in other areas as feasible on issues in relation to higher education.

The agreement came into force in Jan 2011 which is beneficial for students and the academic feternity. This bi-lateral academic agreement with Brazilian University is due to the conscious and sincere efforts of Dr. M. P. Singh, Executive Secretary, SMS, Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS, Varanasi and Dr. Meenakshi Singh, Asst.Professor, SMS, Varanasi.
