The Viva Auto Group, an El Paso Chevy, Ford, Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Ram, Nissan, KIA, Mitsubishi and Suzuki dealership, will be presenting the USO with a $5,525 check for all they’ve done for our troops overseas.

El Paso, TX -- (SBWire) -- 03/22/2011 -- Viva Auto Group, an El Paso Chevy, Ford, Dodge Chrysler, Jeep, RAM, Nissan, Kia Mitsubishi and Suzuki dealer, will be giving a $5,525 check to the USO on March 19th. The local chapter of the USO helps over 28,000 soldiers and their families overseas. Viva Auto Group would like to say more than just say “Thanks,” they’d like to help. Viva Auto Group couldn’t be more proud to give back to our men and women in uniform.

This check not only represents money from Viva Auto Group, but also generous local donations. The check presentation will take place at Viva Chevy at 5915 Montana @ Bassett Place and the USO mobile cantina will be at Viva Chevy from 12:00 to 3:00. The check will be presented at 1:00.

The USO has a long and distinguished history of providing entertainment and comfort to American troops serving overseas and at home. They currently have over 160 centers in 11 countries, including the US. Contrary to popular belief, they are a private non-profit organization that relies on the contributions from ordinary citizens. Their fundraising events have at times changed the course of American consciousness: it was in a 1942 USO-produced film starring Ronald Reagan that popularized the song God Bless America.
