Shindigz National Soccer Festival “Kickin’ It At The Diamond” Brings Fun for All on April 20th
South Whitley, IN -- (SBWire) -- 04/14/2011 -- As it has been doing for nearly 12 years, the Shindigz National Soccer Festival is again bringing nationally top-ranked collegiate soccer to Northeast Indiana in a festival “Fun for All” atmosphere. The second Kickin' It At the Diamond will again pit Notre Dame University and Indiana University in a unique venue, Parkview Field, home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps. In 2010, over 4,200 people came to downtown Fort Wayne to witness a thrilling shootout victory by Notre Dame. An exciting night will be had by all as playing soccer inside the baseball stadium offers extraordinary viewing angles for all spectators. Tickets can be purchased at Parkview Field in advance or the night of the game for $9 adults and $7 for kids. Tickets can also be purchased online at http://www.nationalsoccerfestival.com.
New this year, the event includes Kickin' It for $10,000, where those coming to the event can sign up at the door for a chance to win $10,000 at halftime by kicking a ball through an opening from 25 yards. No past or present professional soccer players are eligible to participate. Also, voting is underway in a contest where local kid’s teams decorated white soccer balls to promote this great event. Go online and vote for the winning entry at Kickin' the Canvass Decorating Contest up until April 18th. And, there will be local youth soccer teams playing 5 versus 5 games during halftime, the entire game will be televised on all screens in the stadium and for the adults, the TinCaps have agreed to use “Thirsty Thursday” prices, even though the game is on a Wednesday.
Join us on Wednesday April 20th for outstanding college soccer and a festival that is sure to bring Fun for All. For additional information, contact Terry Stefankiewicz at (260) 705-3967.
