S2C Delivers S10 GX 2800 Prodigy Rapid FPGA Prototyping Solution with Unsurpassed Capacity and Scalability
Provides Easy and Cost-Effective Path to Future Higher Density FPGA
San Jose, CA -- (SBWire) -- 12/19/2017 --S2C Inc., a world leader in FPGA-based prototyping solutions for today's innovative designs, has announced the development of a new family called the S10 2800 Prodigy™ Logic Modules based on the Intel® Stratix® 10 GX 2800 FPGA. The S10 2800 Prodigy Logic Modules (LMs) are developed for designs requiring large capacity and very fast efficiency. Just as with other Prodigy Logic Modules, the S10 System comes enclosed in a unique low-profile modular chassis that fits all components—FPGA board, extendable power control module, and power supply—into a single unit for maximum flexibility, durability, and portability.
Unmatched Capacity & Scalability
The Single S10 2800 Prodigy Logic Module can achieve a capacity of 2,753K Logic Elements, 229Mbs of memory, and 5,760 DSP resources. Its distinct architecture and chassis allow for easy scalability of up to four FPGAs to reach even greater capacity at a lower cost.
"The introduction of our S10 2800 Prodigy Logic Module marks our strong commitment to match designers with the best prototyping solutions that fit their needs," commented Toshio Nakama, CEO of S2C. "Not only are we giving engineers the opportunity to take advantage of Intel's powerful Stratix 10 capability now, but our solution is specifically designed to provide them the ability to easily upgrade to a future higher density FPGA, when that becomes available."
"The Stratix 10 GX 2800 is Intel's latest, largest 14nm FPGA and we are thrilled that S2C has built a prototyping solution based on our technology that will allow fast, efficient, and effective prototyping and verification," said Jordon Inkeles, director of product marketing, Intel Programmable Solutions Group. "By giving users a path to a future high density FPGA, S2C ensures that our mutual customers will continue to be able to take advantage of the highest level of FPGA technology available."
Performance & Flexibility
The Single S10 2800 Prodigy Logic Module contains 20 high-speed transceivers that can run up to 16Gbps. It has 864 high-performance I/O pins and 4 high-speed transceivers through 6 Prodigy Connectors to support the vast library of S2C daughter cards to quickly build prototyping targets.
Integrated with Powerful Prodigy Complete Prototyping Platform
The S10 2800 Prodigy Logic Module will work seamlessly with the full set of Prodigy Complete Prototyping Platform components including its Prodigy Player Pro™ software and Prodigy Multi-Debug Module that allows for undisputed configuration, partitioning, and multi-FPGA debug capabilities.
The System will come packaged with 6th generation remote management functions through either USB or Ethernet. The Prodigy Player Pro Runtime Software can be run on both Windows and Linux systems to perform basic functions such as FPGA download, write/read on-board SD card for off-line download, clock and reset set-up, I/O voltage settings, hardware monitoring, and self-test. The Player Pro Runtime Software also supports Virtual SWs & LEDs for simple tasks such as changing a setting or indicating a condition remotely. Runtime also automatically identifies daughter cards installed on the Prodigy Logic Modules and recognizes cable setups.
Availability & Resources
