Do you want to improve your overall athletic performance? Do you want push yourself to the next level? Do you want to get ready to play for a college team or just want to gain an edge to make it onto a team? The National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS) Athletic Performance trainers can give you the tools you need to make the cut with increased speed, power, agility, core strength and more!

NIFS Athletic Performance trainers work daily with collegiate and high school athletes, helping them achieve their highest level of performance and remain injury free. If you are age 15–21, compete in sports including football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, track and field, cross country, soccer, wrestling, swimming, golf, tennis, gymnastics and lacrosse, you can benefit!

2 Options:
Power Up Your Foundation (3-Week Camp): June 13– 30 or July 11–28
NIFS will help you with the building blocks that form the foundation of any sport: your basic athletic ability. You will learn to get the most out of lifting, exercises that will improve power, agility and strength, find your personal muscle weaknesses, and learn to build your own training program that meets your specfic needs. You will leave with the tools and know-how to continue to make improvements and play to your full potential.

Up Your Edge (6-Week Camp): June 13 – July 28
Spend an extra 3 weeks with NIFS coaches to solidify your progress. Participation in both camps will lead to a progressive workout program and further development of athleticism. In addition to the regular camp, 6-week campers will receive a retest / second program to build upon functional movement.

Sessions will be held Monday thru Thursdays. Participants can choose from a morning session that runs from 8:00 am to10:00 am or the afternoon session from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Pricing for the camps are $395 a session or $700 for both sessions.

NIFS coaches include Athletic Performance Coaches Mike Blume and Josh Jones. Coach Mike came to NIFS from the United States Military Academy at West Point (Army), where he spent 4 seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Mike received an M.S. in Kinesiology at Indiana University, where he also served as a strength and conditioning assistant coach for several varsity sports. Coach Jones joined the NIFS staff after completing his Masters Degree in Exercise Science from IUPUI. Josh, who was a graduate assistant while at IUPUI also played football for the Indiana State Sycamores from 05 – 08. He has worked with various middle school and high school athletes and teams including Mooresville High School’s varsity baseball team. Josh also served as a strength and conditioning intern with the Indiana Pacers.
