Sanderson Volvo Is Co-Sponsoring the 2011 Summer Music Series

Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWire) -- 06/17/2011 --Sanderson Volvo is co-sponsoring the 2011 Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) Summer Music Series. The MIM Music Theater is hosting a full schedule of live performances and events with artists from across the country and all over the world. The Summer Music Series offers an up-close-and-personal experience.

The Summer Music Series provides something for everyone, including jazz with Sheryl Bailey, Broadway show tunes, opera, West-African drumming, Japanese arts, and tastes of Eastern Europe. Some artists include the Kronos Quartet, Lee Konitz, America’s Got Talent finalists Celtic Spring, and Jace Everett, who wrote “Bad Things” for HBO’s True Blood. There will even be a Mariachi band that interprets the music of the Beatles.

Michael Kaeshammer will be performing as well, entertaining audiences with his boogie-woogie piano. He has been called Canada’s hottest “triple threat combo of piano virtuosity, vocal ability and charisma.” Jazz Times recently said, “The guy isn’t just enormously talented and marvelously entertaining, but also exceedingly cool.”

The events usually sell out at an early date, so it is important to get tickets early. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.themim.org/performances-events/all-performances-events, by calling the MIM Ticket Office at (480) 478-6000, or in person at the Musical Instrument Museum.
