Las Vegas, NV -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/15/2014 -- Raj Jackson has graduated from the Professional Golfer’s Association (PGA) Professional Golf Management Program and has been elected to membership in the PGA of America as a Class A golf professional as of January of 2014.PGA golf professionals are experts in the game of golf. To become elected as a PGA professional, golf professionals go through an apprenticeship period for several years and pass the very difficult PGA 36-hole playing ability test. In addition, students must complete three levels of educational courses which include golf car fleet management, golf operations, player development, food and beverage operations, golf instruction, golf club repair, merchandising, rules of golf, tournament operations, human resources & turf grass management and much more. Raj graduated from West Virginia University with a Biology Degree and further his education as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University.
Following a dream to be a PGA pro, he changed careers and started teaching golf in 2003. Raj Jackson has served as a golf instructor at Riverview Country Club, Runaway Bay Golf & Beach Resort, Loch Haven Golf Club, Richmond Pines Country Club and Woodbridge Golf Links. In addition, Raj has taught golf/hosted exotic golf excursions on cruise ships in more than 50 countries all over the world. He has worked on Carnival Cruise lines, Holland America, P&O, and Celebrity Cruises. Raj has a passion for teaching and his past and current students include first-timers, elite players and celebrities. In 2014, Raj Jackson is combining his golf expertise and chiropractic experience to help educate others on peak golf performance and injury prevention.
