Pasadena, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/15/2011 -- There has been an increase in hiring in the retail sector, nationwide, in June this year.
According to Kronos Inc., there were 37,388 in June in the retail sector while the figures of July are slightly high with 40,070 hires.
Kohl's department store is expected to open 30 new stores this fall across the country. A company spokeswoman said that the new stores nationwide will generate about 4,000 jobs.
Last weekend Kohl's held a job fair optimistic to find about 130 qualified people to fill several different positions such as cashiers, sales people, early morning freight workers, associates for register operators, department associates, and customer service.
The new stores will open in places like Charleston (SC), Huntsville (AL), Hixson (TN), Dalton (GA), Easley (SC), Greenville (SC) and many more. These stores are scheduled to open up next month. Despite this, the unemployment scenario will not experience drastic change. Nearly 14 million natives alleged unemployment last month, according to The US Department of Labor.
RetailCrossing, a job aggregator website and search engine focuses only on retail industry related jobs. It has been able to compile over 45,000 jobs, in the last seven days, exclusively in the retail sector, nationwide. These jobs range from stocker to floor manager and other managerial positions.
