A new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine powers the Camry and puts out an impressive 200 horsepower and 35 mpg highway for the Camry. The SE and XLE trims also have the option of upgrading to the 3.5-liter V6 engine. The V6 engine ups the horsepower to 268 and an estimated 30 mpg highway for the best fuel efficiency of any V6 current midsize sedan.

The 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid, available in November, operates on a 2.5-liter engine that brings an estimated 43 mpg city and 39 mpg highway. Toyota revised the Camry Hybrid powertrain and lowered weight to increase city fuel efficiency by over 30%.

The 2012 Toyota Camry comes with Toyota’s renowned STAR safety system. With ten airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Brake Assist, Traction Control (TRAC) and many more safety features, the Camry is loaded with safety measures to protect drivers and passengers. Drivers also have the option of upgrading to get a rear-view camera, blind spot monitor and Toyota’s Safety Connect for automated emergency contact in case of a collision.

Drivers of the 2012 Camry will love Toyota’s new entune multimedia system. The new entune system works on a voice activated system to allow the phone to be away from the driver as they concentrate on driving. The system will search on Bing, look up movie times, make reservations at a restaurant and play Pandora with all of the driver’s favorite music.
