New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/19/2011 -- Eric Pascal is principal with Vanguard Pascal. Prior to that, he was Managing Director, Head of Risk Management Advisory, and Head of Global Corporates, with Standard Chartered Bank. Mr. Pascal’s background is almost entirely based on risk management as a discipline and used to formulate strategy and policy. He has been member of credit committees and product development teams for various banks and was involved in setting specific targets relating to risk applications and customer profiles including those relating to regulatory capital. In addition, he spent 3 years in the Middle East, which provided him a very useful acumen and understanding for deployment of Islamic financial instruments and cross region trade between the GCC and Asia.
Mr. Pascal has been an active advisor to CEO, Chairmen level of his client's organizations. In all cases, he was extremely involved with the forecasting and profitability reporting of the businesses in order to gain an in depth understanding of the opportunities in those businesses from a strategic point of view, with a focus on expansion. In addition, he has served several CFO and CEOs specifically in regards to tax and financial planning, cross border development and the internal control and risk management frameworks of those organizations at the board level. Mr. Pascal speaks Spanish, conversational Mandarin and Cantonese and beginning Arabic. He has a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting and Finance, from the University of Toronto.
