Imagine our surprise when we came across this story in the headlines this week – ‘Chicago Woman Pelts Husband with Cupcakes’.

Whilst we’re totally against domestic violence of any kind, it was the crime of wasting cupcakes that shocked us the most!

Everybody loves cupcakes, but love certainly wasn’t in the air (although a few cupcakes were) when this Chicago couple decided to have a heated argument this weekend. According to the Chicago Tribune, a local woman was arrested in Brighton Park for pelting her poor husband with cupcakes.

According to reports, she reached for the box of cupcakes and launched a sponge and cream fuelled attack at her husband’s head and body.

Several of the sweet creations hit the target as the man’s head and shirt were covered with frosting when police officers arrived on the scene.
