How to Deal With Challenges of Food Safety in Next 10 Years in China

Food safety has become the most concerned problem in recent years. How to deal with challenges of food safety is quite important. The speech will be made by Dayuan Xue, professor to College of Life and Environmental Science, The Central Universtity For Nationalities. As a leading scientist, during the past 30 years, Dr. Xue has coordinated and conducted a series of national and international projects for biodiversity conservation, biosafety of genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) and access and benefit-sharing (ABS) of genetic resources and related traditional knowledge in China.

Assigned by the Chinese government, he has been involved in negotiation and implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (CPB) and Nagoya Protocol on ABS issue since 1988.
