The Collision Warning uses multi-functional cameras to detect and warn drivers of possible rear-end collisions with a vehicle in front. BMW Night Vision with pedestrian recognition offers extra safety at night by identifying people, animals, and objects in the dark with its infrared camera. The Lane Change Warning system uses radar sensors in the rear of the vehicle to detect and warn drivers when a vehicle is in their blind spot when trying to switch lanes.
