Corodex Presents State-Of-The-Art Fire Fighting CAF System ‘FIREXPRESS’ To Dubai Civil Defence
Dubai, India -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/19/2012 -- Dubai-based Corodex , a part of Concorde-Corodex group (CCG) launched the region’s state-of-the-art fire fighting motorcycle mounted on a BMW – FIREXPRESS at INTERSEC 2012. The first BMW R 1200 RT motorcycle was presented to Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director, Dubai Civil Defence by Mahmood Saleh Awad, Managing Director, Concorde-Corodex Group.
The FIREXPRESS motorcycle has a self-contained system with two interconnected 25 litre tanks for premixed water and foam. The fire fighting CAF (Compressed Air Foam) system motorcycle has been tested for structural integrity, rider stability and is based on the police version with emergency lights and has a siren option from the BMW factory.
Elaborating on the motorcycle, Mahmood Saleh Awad said: “FIREXPRESS is a ‘first strike fire fighting concept’ designed to give an immediate first strike capability on a wide range of types of fires, from deep-seated class A fires to difficult class B fires even in polar solvent fuels and class E fires in electrical installations. The advantages of the motorcycle are its accessibility through congested roads thereby time-saving.”
