El Cajon, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/09/2012 -- St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center’s 14th Annual Morning Glory Brunch is once again generating a buzz around town, and it’s not just because the bees and butterflies are attracted to St. Madeleine’s organic garden. Approximately 500 people are expected to attend this popular brunch on Saturday, April 14 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on St. Madeleine’s campus at 2119 E. Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA.
Guests will be treated to brunch fare, including home-style cinnamon rolls and mimosas, along with live jazz, country and pop music; original flower designs by Jasmine Creek Florist and a beautiful stroll through Sophie’s Organic Garden.
St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center and Honorary Chair Laurie McGrath will create a garden party, country style, with more than 30 food and wine stations and boutique shopping with works of art created by Sophie’s Gallery adult artists. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to bid in Chinese and silent auctions, view art and gardening demonstrations from San Diego Master Gardeners and participate in the annual frog race ($10,000 in cash prizes for this plastic frog release at Sophie’s Aquatics Training Center).
Local singer Eve Selis will perform live at Morning Glory Brunch. The international recording artist blends elements of country, rock pop and folk. Selis has shared stages with Travis Tritt, Jack Johnson, Jewel, Hootie & the Blowfish, Heart, The Doobie Brothers and many more.
Artists Jason Weber, Mark Fahl and Guy Gonzalez (the Gypsy Swing Cats) will also perform at the Morning Glory Brunch. In addition, Arms Wide Open, the dance and movement group for special needs children and adults, will give a special dance and percussion performance.
