Gallery Owners Gleam at their Exquisite Art Glass Collection
Miami, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/18/2009 -- Boasting the only Charles Schneider gallery in South Florida, VALERIO Antiques understands how hard it can be to find and distinguish genuine art glass. An opulent selection of one of the finest glass artists of the Art Deco period, the Charles Schneider Gallery displays the glassmaker’s work from when he first began in 1913 through to the height of his career in late 1920’s. Connecting enthusiasts together with this hard to find collection, VALERIO Antiques pays homage to one of the greatest glass artists of all time.
With its trademark bold shapes, colors and décor, the Charles Schneider art glass collection epitomizes the roaring twenties, a time of transition from the Art Nouveau period into the age of Art Deco. Using contrasting hues, Schneider was able to create a striking composition of colors to produce a highly decorative effect that distinguishes his work from others. This exceptional artist was skilled in glass and stone sculptures, as well as painting and medal engraving. In 1913, he and his brother purchased a small glass-works in north Paris and began his career in glass-making with the Les Verreries Schneider line followed by Le Verre Français and The Schneider Lines.
Showcasing an abundance of his pieces, VALERIO is proud to offer art glass, lighting and sculpture work from one of the greatest masterminds of the art deco period. VALERIO co-owner Roberto Bertran states “Charles Schneider had a great vision to brighten the world with his vibrant work at a time when no one else was doing so”, Co-Owner Antonio Amado continues “His work is timeless and fits perfectly in the modern homes of today. It is a great privilege for us to host the Charles Schneider gallery in our store.” VALERIO carries some of the most sought after motifs of The Le Verre Français line like Poissons and Chats, including a 1927 Poissons Grand Vase with acid-etched pattern and 1923 Papillons Blue Glass Vase. A 1919 Aubépines plafond lighting fixture hangs over the gallery casting an orange glow on the pieces, also from the Le Verre Français line.
VALERIO Antiques is also an exclusive dealer of the Charles Schneider Book. Other designers carried include Leleu, Dominique, Rene Prou, Porteneuve, and Chiparus. Art associates, Waltford Gonzalez and Jorge Camejo, are able to guide clientele on the latest trends, newest arrivals and investment opportunities available. A supreme authority on Art Deco pieces, VALERIO Antiques is the ultimate source for enthusiasts and professionals seeking unique, one-of-a-kind pieces for homes, offices, and clientele.
