Chesterfield, Derbyshire -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/06/2009 -- Car rental hire Sixt is supporting Pride 2009 with the donation of two transit vans for the finale of the festival fortnight on Saturday 4 July.

Pride London is unique amongst the larger UK Prides and the two week festival uses theatre, music, debate, art and entertainment to raise awareness of discrimination and the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people around the world. As a registered charity, Pride relies on the help of volunteers and sponsors to make the annual festivities possible.

The Sixt vans will be used for general operations on the day and to carry the 100 ft rainbow flag at the head of the colourful parade, which attracts over 500,000 en route from Baker Street to the culmination of the festival in Trafalgar Square.
