Lehman Lee & Xu was invited to the Amcham Shanghai meeting
Beijing, China -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/13/2009 -- The third largest corporate and commercial Chinese law firm, Lehman Lee & Xu, was invited to the Amcham Shanghai meeting held on July 6th, 2009, with the China Working Group US Congressional Staff Delegation. In attendance was Scott Garner, director of the Shanghai office of the firm, who commented “The event scores a goal in giving members the chance to engage in discussions with the people who directly influence US-China commercial relationships”.
The delegation included attendees such as Rich Goldberg (Senior Aide to Congressman Mark Kirk) and Mark Middaugh (Military Legislative Assistant to Congressman Rick Larsen). Many other US congressional staff also attended including Toni-Marie Calabrese (Legislative Assistant to Congressman John Boozman) and George Behan (Chief of Staff to Congressman Norm Dicks), in addition to Jan Berris (Vice President, National Committee on U.S. China Relations) and Andrew Mertha (Associate Professor of Government at Cornell University).
Amcham Shanghai – also called the “Voice of American Business” – is the largest and fastest-growing American Chamber of Commerce in the Asia-Pacific region, with over 4,000 members. The Chamber is fairly active in organizing activities for its associates spanning from business networking events to conferences and seminars.
