The application can be marked as a success as there have been registered hundreds of downloads just for the first several days.

The target users for the new Text Translator are travellers and business people who need to lead and translate their correspondence on the go, so Interlecta have combined the features of several of their translators to make this one even more functional than the rest of their applications. This new application translates text on the BlackBerry's screen as well as incoming and outgoing text messages and emails, and according to the users' reviews on RIM's on-line store for applications, the light interface makes the software very easy to use.

At the moment the Text Translator is available for BlackBerry Bold and Curve 8900 but it is expected that Interlecta will release a version compatible with all other models very soon.

As well as for BlackBerry phones, Interlecta http://home.interlecta.com develop translation applications for J2ME, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Android platforms. The field of their research and development efforts includes translators for chat environments, desktop, web and social networks.
