The Los Angeles ORT College is permitted by the Immigration and Naturalization Service to enroll non-immigrant aliens using F-1 or M-1 visas. In addition to the standard application procedure, foreign student applicants are required to submit either an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score or take English as a Second Language placement examination administered by the Institute. In certain cases, depending upon the examination score, admission to the Institute may require that an entering foreign student enroll in the Institute's English as a Second Language program. Scholarships are available to technical program students who qualify. These scholarships are funded through contributions from Women's American ORT and American ORT. Selection of recipients and the amount awarded is determined by the Los Angeles ORT College Scholarship Committee. Applicants must fill out a scholarship application. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of meeting all scholarship criteria.
