VTA Announces Additional Shows for 2010-2011 With Legendary Singer Liza Minnelli

Daughter of the great Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli has been entertaining audiences for decades. Liza won her first Tony award at the age of 19, and since has won two more. Minnelli is perhaps best known for her Oscar and Golden Globe winning performance as Sally Bowles in the hit musical movie Cabaret. Having been nominated for several Grammy awards, Liza was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008. Her latest CD “The Basement Tapes” hits stores May 2010. DRUM LINE LIVE!
November 10, 2010 – Schuster Center
A spin off of the hit 2002 movie Drum Line, Drum Line Live! is one show that can out stomp Stomp and out blast Blast. Based on the Historically Black College and University marching band tradition, this show features riveting rhythms, bold beats and ear-grabbing energy. The show is composed of 40 college age performers, selected from numerous highly distinguished band programs. Drum Line Live features original compositions and soul-infused interpretations of hit songs ranging from Duke Ellington to Kanye West and Andre 3000. Sound and energy like this has never been experienced in a theatre before.

CIRQUE DREAMS – HOLIDAZE

Created and directed by Neil Goldberg, Cirque Dreams - Holidaze is an original new musical extravaganza filled with spectacle, imagination and whimsy.
