Likening the childhood favorite toy Lite-Brite™, it is now the BRITEest App in the iPad Store
Atlanta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/22/2010 -- Clever Twist, an interactive design studio specializing in iPad and iPhone application design and development, announces the availability of iBrite, an iPad application modeled after the childhood favorite toy, Lite-Brite™ (http://www.ibriteapp.com). Priced at $1.99, the application lets parents and children alike pass the time by filling in the all-too-familiar black dots with an endless assortment of colors. Clever Twist’s iBrite iPad app provides users with a blank black dot landscape to freely create any picture or design desired.
“We hope parents, children and toy enthusiasts, will enjoy passing the time creating colorful pictures as much as we enjoyed creating iBrite,” said Jen Gordon, CEO of Clever Twist. “The toy has such a nostalgic relationship with previous generations, including today’s mothers, fathers , aunts and uncles, even grandparents. The iPad will help pass on that fun to new generations via a modern, enhanced platform with no plastic pieces to pick up! It’s like your mother always said, things just get better with time!”
With iBrite, users simply tap on the selected color and trace over the dots to create the desired design. Colors can be changed or drawn over at any time. In this first version, users can save and exhibit their works of iBrite art. In the coming weeks, Clever Twist plans to release a follow up app that will allow sharing capabilities and include a series of familiar picture templates including the sailboat, car and cat.
“We think users will enjoy filling in the dots with some of the toy’s most familiar templates,” says Gordon. “However, we hope fans won’t be too upset when the creepy clown is missing from the template set.”
iBrite has already received recognition as a 2010 Apps Fire App Star Awards Finalist. Links to video demos of the product can be found at http://video2.appsfire.com/video/3329123-ibrite-demo-the-lite-brite-ipad-app or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sWDCkeOeBw.
