Prudential Beazley Real Estate shares how North Augusta’s new Park and Ride facility will reduce air pollution and carbon emissions.
North Augusta, SC -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/11/2014 -- North Augusta, South Carolina has opened its first Park and Ride and expectations are high. Prudential Beazley Real Estate announced on their blog last week that the new facility is expected to encourage carpooling by providing a central meeting place to commute to work. "More industries are doing what they can to address issues such as air pollution and carbon emissions," said Prudential Beazley Real Estate on their blog this week. "This year Aiken County stepped up to join the cause."
The Park and Ride is located off Exit 5 between I-20 west and Austin Graybill Road. The federally funded project cost nearly 1.6 million dollars and took a decade to finish. However, with 220 parking spaces, LED lights, and its own rain garden, this Park and Ride is much more than a meeting place. It will also improve water quality for the city, save energy, and reduce maintenance costs. North Augusta hopes the new Park and Ride will reduce their carbon footprint on the environment. "Through the voluntary action of ridesharing, the Park and Ride gives residents further opportunity to reduce mobile source emissions and improve air quality," said Prudential Beazley Real Estate.
This Park & Ride will be a great asset for employees who wish to save on fuel costs, especially for those who live near the area. Bergen Place West is located near the facility, providing residents an even more fuel-efficient commute.
Bergen Place West is a great neighborhood for several reasons as Prudential Beazley Real Estate commented. First, it is built is a great location near all three metropolitan areas: Augusta, Aiken, and North Augusta as well as medical facilities, universities, and Fort Gordon. Second, a number of neighborhood amenities are included at Bergen Place west such as parks, natural gas, protective covenants, sidewalks, streetlights, and underground utilities. Lastly, a variety of floor plans are available including four and five bedroom brick homes. Homes feature fireplaces, gourmet kitchens, ceramic tile flooring, automatic front and back sprinkler systems, sod in the front yard, and hardwood floors.
"Now that Phase II has arrived, great prices are available for new lots," said Prudential Beazley Real Estate. "Home buyers have the option to select the perfect lot to build their dream home or purchase a move in ready new home that is just right for them."
