Inventory will consist of clothing for both sale and rental purposes, as well as both brand new and gently used clothing.

The business model of RentThreads is unique; not only can clothing be purchased or rented for varying periods of time, but the shopper will also be able to communicate with others who are also members of the RentThread community. All RentThreads inventory will start as new clothing that RentThreads will purchase from vendors. From there, customers can choose to buy or rent, depending on the time they need the clothing. The rental model is a convenient, money saving mechanism, as customers can rent clothes for a special occasion, a semester of school, or even a whole season, saving them money on clothes they'll only be wearing for a short period of time. This not only saves the customer money, but it also saves them closet space.
