A New 5-Week Competitive Educational Gaming Event with Cool Prizes for Students
Richmond, VA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/23/2015 -- Award-winning educational video-game developer DimensionU, Inc. announced today that registration is now open for its second seasonal academic gaming event, called The 2015 Spring Spectacular Math Games Competition.
DimensionU is the creator of interactive, multiplayer video games that build math and literacy skills while building engagement and excitement for students. Parents and teachers love DimensionU for the high level of engagement and academic improvement they see in students who play.
The Spring Spectacular competition will begin Monday, March 23, 2015 and run for five weeks. The registration entry fee is $9.95, which includes access to all DimensionU Games: the desktop software as well as the online and iOS app games. The first 50 registrants will also receive a limited edition Spring Spectacular t-shirt. Parental permission is required for entry as well.
This virtual competition will work the same as the Winter Heat: four preliminary weeks of play, where the top players from each round will win a small prize and qualify for the Finals Round. The top three players from the Finals Round will win a Grand Prize. The Spring Spectacular features all-new Grand Prizes, including a $200 Amazon Gift Card and a Go-Pro camera.
"We are really excited to build on the momentum from the Winter Heat," said Steven Hoy, DimensionU's CEO. "We saw a ton of engagement and enthusiasm from students and teachers. Thousands of students play DimensionU every day at home and at school already, so this is another great way to help kids work on their academic skills while also competing for fun prizes."
The competition is open to residents from the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada. For more information about the 2015 Spring Spectacular, please visit www.DimensionU.com.
