Daniel Castillo Buj Seeks Funding Support via Indiegogo to Complete the Development of WiC

WiC is a plug and charge iPhone 6 case that can be connected to any USB port without any compatibility issue. That’s because an original Apple cable is included. Daniel Castillo Buj has just started an Indiegogo campaign to start the mass production of WiC.

Valencia, Spain -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/15/2015 -- iPhone users around the world are constantly on the lookout for different accessories that help them optimize the use of their favorite gadget. Many avid users of iPhone end up carrying their charger out of the fear of running out of battery and being disconnected. Geotap has designed WiC, an advanced battery charger case that will solve this problem. This highly useful accessory can be connected through USB without using any additional cable.

WiC is extremely simple to use, and will be manufactured from Thermoplastic Polyurethane. There is also a concealed Apple connection cable with a USB connector and a lightning connector on either side of it. While charging the phone, the users only need to expose the connectors by opening the lid and plug the iPhone into any USB port.

Geotap has already completed the design and patent of WiC, and are ready to start its mass-production. Their objective is to deliver the first batch of products by September, 2015. Their production schedule is follows

-May: Production prototyping, moulds and first samples.
-June: production modifications and packaging design.
-July: production
-September: reception and distribution of goods.

In order to adhere to this production schedule, Geotap needs to raise €67,000 from external sources. With this objective, they have just started an Indiegogo campaign. This campaign will end on May 22nd, 2015.
