About Gable House Mansion
According to the company, Gable House Mansion traces its history back to 1905, when it was built by the original owner Harry Whitney Treat, for the huge price tag, at the time, of $105,000. It featured 64 rooms and he considered his "in city" retreat. Treat's wife on his passing sold the mansion in 1923 to George Lemcke & Company who converted the property into apartments and they were rented like this until 1975. In 1975 the mansion was purchased by Gary Gaffner, a Queen Anne preservation advocate, who transformed the mansion into 15 "high end" apartments, that are still the talk of Seattle today for their luxury.
In 2007, the property was awarded landmark status.
The Gable House Mansion is located at 1 West Highland Drive Seattle, WA 98109.
The Seattle Property Management company expects the popularity of the Gable House to continue to rise in the near future.
Their spokesperson remarked, "This is a really special place and a piece of history. People who love Seattle should not miss a chance to check it out."
