Richmond, VA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/08/2015 -- Award-winning educational video-game developer DimensionU, Inc. is pleased to announce the winners of its most recent online, educational gaming tournament, the 2015 Spring Spectacular Math Games. Students from all over the U.S. and Canada participated in the five-week event, which concluded on Sunday, April 26th.

Congratulations to the Top 3 Grand Prize Winners with the highest scores during Finals Week: Christian Garcia from New York City took first place; Vivek Srinivasan from Tampa, Florida placed second and Steven Nguyen, from Pensacola, Florida placed third. Congratulations also go to Hao Ngo, another student from Pensacola, Florida, who won a Grand Prize for the highest four-week cumulative score during the preliminary rounds. Each of the grand prize winners will receive a $200 Amazon Gift Card. Additionally, a big congratulations to all of the weekly preliminary round winners, who received a $25 Amazon Gift Card.

The Spring Spectacular was one of a series of four annual and newly introduced educational video game competitions by DimensionU, Inc. Students competed in a virtual, first-person multiplayer gaming environment using DimensionU's desktop, web, iPhone and iPad app game products. The $9.95 registration fee (which also required parental permission) included a limited edition t-shirt (for the first 50 registrants), and unlimited access to DimensionU games from the time of registration through the entire five-week event.
