Guangzhou, Guangdong -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/22/2010 -- In the second half year of 2010, the technical producers faces the situation that there is insufficient supply of upstream raw materials and downstream technicals, as it is directly affected by a sharp increase in the upstream raw materials price during the period of inflation, impacts from energy saving and emission reduction, and an early stop production of downstream technicals due to climatic factors and its excess capacity. Herbicides like glyphosate, paraquat, atrazine and MCPA will all see soaring price and organophosphate pesticides and pyrethroid price will increase to the biggest extent. Prices of chlorobenzene oil, cyhalothrin and profenofos will all increase by 5%~10%. The most significant one is chlorpyrifos technical price which increases by 20% or more from USD 4.364/t to USD 5.255/t
Avermectin price is also expected to rise due to the suppressed production and capacity. Prices of Carbendazim, thiram and some conventional fungicides are also greatly boosted by the unbalanced supply and demand as well as raw materials.
Market price of carbendazimhe technical is about USD 4.364/t, up 30% over the previous period; thiram technical price is USD 1.802/t, up 40% compared with the lowest price of USD 1.276/t this year
In view of the current market, the price of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and plant bio-regulators won't stop increasing until at the end of this year. Although it faces the rising price of raw materials, technical producers will keep on production to ensure regular supply for next year.
