Missing this person Lezlie felt helpless. “All I had was a song. So I shared it and was reminded that I am not alone in the desire to see someone I love come home safely.” Produced by Max Berry, and featuring an outstanding ensemble of Kansas City’s finest musicians, Soldier Come Home is a tribute to the men and woman who protect our freedoms.
Also featured on the single is Psalm 131, a song about finding that still, small voice within that provides comfort and peace. “At some point we could all use some of both,” says Lezlie. “Thousands of men and women put their lives on the line daily, sacrificing life, limb, and the comforts of home. And thousands of their families and friends wait, praying daily for their safe return home. I dedicate these songs to you all.”
50% of the total revenues from the sale of this special release will be donated to Operation Homefront, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides emergency assistance for military troops, the families they leave behind, and wounded warriors when they return home. The organization raises funds to provide emergency, financial, and morale assistance to families while troops are participating in a tour of duty. Operation Homefront has more than 4,000 volunteers and two dozen chapters nationwide.
