Hound CEO A. Harrison Barnes believes that the economy is recovering slowly but people need to be at the right place at the right time to get the job. Hound has been able to find over 91,000 jobs in the last seven days on employer websites.

Pasadena, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/29/2010 -- White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said on Friday that the Obama Administration’s priority was to create more jobs and not on creating Tier 5 benefits.

Gibbs made this revelation on his Twitter account where he said “we must get econ growing faster to create more jobs 4 u and help”. The number of people who can be counted as 99ers is unknown. This is because no state government or the Obama Administration has carried out a systematic survey to count them. An article in the Huffington Post suggests that there may be up to 5 million 99ers.

Media coverage on 99ers has increased in the past two months. Most local news websites and smaller news websites are full of comments from 99ers who are desperate now. Michael Colliss, a prominent 99ers advocate has launched a new campaign to educate other Americans on the issue on his website All247News. Blogger LaDona King of Jobless Unite website has a modified version of “Santa Baby” up on her site and YouTube. Her version focuses on the 99ers and how desperate they are now. Both Colliss and King are 99ers themselves who say that they are trying to attract attention to their cause for themselves and all the other 99ers.

Hound CEO A. Harrison Barnes believes that the economy is recovering slowly but people need to be at the right place at the right time to get the job. “I have no idea what is going to happen to Tier 5, but I know many people are desperate for work. The only good news is that we have seen an increase in job postings on employer websites. But most people don’t realize what a rich source of jobs these employer sites are for jobs.” Hound has been able to find over 75,000 jobs in the last seven days on employer websites.
