London, England-- (SBWIRE) -- 03/02/2011 -- T in the Park is a major music festival that has been held annually in Kinross, Scotland since 1994. It is named after its main sponsor, the brewing company Tennents. It takes place on the same weekend as Oxegen in Ireland and shares a very similar line-up each year. T in the Park takes place in Balado, Kinross-shire from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July. The eighteenth T in the Park will be back at Balado in 2011 from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July. In February last year, T in the Park 2010 tickets sold out in less than 90 minutes due to demand from tens of thousands of music fans. The festival offers a huge variety of music across seven main stages with large camping areas, as well as other attractions, including a large funfair, comedy tent, silent disco, stalls, and food markets.

The line-up is billed to include 180 artists across eleven stages. On 27 October 2010, the Daily Record announced that Foo Fighters were "in the early stages of negotiating a deal" to perform at the 2011 event.[10] Foo Fighters were confirmed as headliners on 1 December 2010.

The same paper confirmed that Blink-182 were in talks to play the festival, in a headline performance. Bassist Mark Hoppus confirmed on 16 December via his Twitter that they would be playing at T in the Park. Organizers confirmed this formally the next day. The festival's full line-up is set to be announced in February 2011.
