Eagan, MN -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/14/2011 -- Intertech has been awarded the General Services Administrator ( GSA ) Schedule Contract. This includes general purpose commercial information technology equipment, software, and services.
The GSA award allows government agencies to easily work with groups of pre-approved vendors, because they know vendors have already had to adhere to the regulations stipulated by GSA.
In short, this award makes it easier for government agencies to access Intertech's expertise in training and consulting services.
"Intertech is pleased to be selected for the GSA schedule. Intertech is very familiar with working on the needs of government agencies. We have delivered training throughout North America to government agencies and look forward to building on our success." said Dan McCabe of Intertech.

It makes it easy for customers to see our skill-set first-hand in the classroom, and then feel confident in our abilities as we consult with them on larger projects. The GSA schedule contract award will only aid in helping government agencies find the right fit for their training and consulting services needs."
The GSA model is based on two primary ideas. 1 ) Basis of Award and 2 ) Price Reduction Clause. These stipulations increase price competition between vendors and eliminates the opportunity for unregulated or unfair awarding of government contracts.
The GSA Program was started in 1947 by Herbert Hoover and Harry Truman, and became an independent agency in 1949. The program now offers over 11 million commercial services and products, including information technology and best pricing. The program is split into 11 different agencies or regions across the United States. The benefits of using this program for the customer: include lower overhead costs, shorter lead times, and just-in-time delivery models.
Intertech also offers training on Spring Framework Training, iPhone training, and Agile Training.
