In 2010, India imposed an anti-dumping duty of up to USD0.671 per kilo on Chinese imports of sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP), a chemical used in the manufacture of household cleaning products from Hubei Xingfa Chemicals Group Co., Ltd. Later in that year, the U.S announced a rule to levy anti-dumping duty on Chinese phosphate, and the rate is 69.58%-95.40%. So did Mexico.
Guangzhou, Guangdong -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/25/2011 -- Although China is abundant in phosphorus resources, it is not rich. The proven reserves of phosphorus resources in China ranks the second while both its capacity and consumption of phosphorus ore rank the first in the world.
The major application of its production is in phosphoric acid, phosphorus trichloride, phosphorus trichloride, red phosphorus, phosphorus pentasulfide and sodium hypophosphite. Fertilizer, as the major end user of yellow phosphorus, accounts more than 80% of the phosphorus resources’ market. Yellow phosphorus and phosphate account for 20%.
Since 2009, Chinese government has raised the electricity price for non-residential use. As for high energy consuming industries, it has further restricted electricity supply by banning preferential electricity price formulated by local governments and rigidly enforcing the discriminatory electricity price. Both of these actions have a great impact on the production cost of yellow phosphorus The great changes in phosphate fertilizer industry will have great influence on the development of phosphorus. Some producers have combined phosphorus ore and electricity to improve the comprehensive competitiveness.
Facing both overseas pressure and domestic limits, how would yellow phosphorus producers and end users deal with the situation for better development of the non-renewable resource? What are their strategies and their development trends?
CCM has released its new report - Major Yellow Phosphorus Producers and End Users in China to introduce about 30 major producers and end users including Jiangsu Jiangyin, Yunnan Phosphorus Group, Yunnan Malong, Hubei Xingfa Chemicals, Guizhou Qianneng Tianhe Phosphorus, Yunnan Honghe Phosphor Power , Wuhan Inorganic Salt Chemical, Zhejiang Wynca and Jiangsu Binhai Wuzhou, etc. Also, a SWOT analysis of top five producers is included in this report.
The report is of great help:
-Find better and more suppliers and purchasers
-Know clearly the competitiveness of peers
