What happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas! During the week of June 20th, leading educators and teachers from the fields of Oculoplastic Surgery, Dermatology, and Facial Plastic Surgery came together to educate other aesthetic surgeons. Doctors and guest faculty members were educated on new techniques, controversies, public relations, and marketing strategies.

 

Tampa, FL -- (SBWIRE) --07/05/2011 -- Dr. William P. Mack spent the week of June 20th, 2011 at The Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada as an invited faculty presenter by the Multi-Specialty Foundation for Aesthetic Surgical Excellence (F.A.S.E.) for the 7th Annual Facial Cosmetic Surgery 2011 (An International Multi-Specialty Symposium.) At 8:15 a.m. on Thursday morning, Dr. Mack presented his session which focused on the treatment of ptosis (droopiness of the upper eyelid due to the weakening muscle) after cosmetic upper eyelid blepharoplasty. He educated fellow board certified doctors on how ptosis could have been a missed diagnosed or secondary to iatrogenic causes. Dr. Mack then took the audience through the steps and techniques to correct this issue.

His extensive training and expertise in oculoplastic and facial cosmetic surgery has made Dr. Mack one of the leading faculty members at the Vegas conference for the past 5 years.

Not only did Dr. Mack present at the conference, but he also moderated one of the general sessions with Harry Mittelman, M.D. from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Dr. Mack and Dr. Mittelman moderated topics such as volume restoration by fat grafting, topicals, injectables, lasers, eyelid rejuvenation, individualize approach to lower eyelid blepharoplasties, aesthetic management of the lateral canthus, and midface injectables. This session, which contained many other topics, was just one of fifteen all-day educational sessions which offered the physicians attending the course to learn the latest advances on topics including facelifts, lower eyelid surgery, practice management, marketing skills, facial implants, upper eyelid surgery, neck lifts, endoscopic browlifts, social media and blogging, laser resurfacing, and facial fillers.

The F.A.S.E program stated that their “emerging trends session will give us a look into the future of aesthetic surgery and medicine. We will provide you with critical information about what the future holds for you and your patients. This information session will hopefully guide you in choosing what devices you might wish to consider for your practice.” William P.
