Graduating from the University of Houston College of Optometry and awarded The Clinical Excellence Award in Family Practice while in school, Dr. Gonzalez is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist as well as a board certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

His time at the University of Houston - University Eye Institute, was extensively employed studying ocular disease and pre- and post-operative surgical care under executive director Dr. Nick Holdeman.

As a practicing member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the Dallas County Optometric Society, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys treating patients with dry eyes, ocular disease, and children. He also treats patients needing multi-focal (bifocal) contact lenses and difficult to fit lenses for patients with corneal disease.

In his free time he frequents hole-in-the-wall restaurant establishments with his fellow optometrist/wife Dr. Hoa Nguyen. Dr. Gonzalez also speaks fluent Spanish.
