Brandon, MB -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/11/2019 -- The QuickBooks Condense feature is an integral part of QuickBooks Desktop 2019 providing the option to delete the QuickBooks Audit Trail.
"The only downside to this great function is that one needs to delete or archive the data file several times in order to avoid unnecessary data storage and capacity usage. According to Rocha, some common errors one might stumble upon are " QuickBooks encountered an error and was unable to successfully complete the condense process", "Your company file has been restored to its original pre-condensed state", "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation error 8007000e" or "illegal operation error".
Rocha added that there could be many different reasons as to what causes the errors, such as "having a company file located on another computer in the network, a damaged or corrupt company file, a file that contains negative quantity and/or negative inventory or insufficient system storage." "It is necessary to make a backup of data prior to condensing the file. If the backup file was not retained or is damaged, with the newer versions of QuickBooks the Condense process also creates an archive copy of the data."
If after having tried everything and you are still not successful, QB Support offers the SuperCondense service as the better alternative to reducing the size of your data file which condenses your company file to 50 to 80% of the original file size. The SuperCondense service works with all international editions of QuickBooks including the US, Canada, and UK versions.
