Waxhaw, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/10/2016 -- The Isabella Santos Foundation is an organization located in Charlotte, NC, that was created to honor Isabella Santos, a young girl who battled cancer. Isabella Santos was born in 2005 and was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in October of 2007. The primary focus of this children's cancer foundation is to find a cure for Neuroblastoma.
The Isabella Santos Foundation does everything they can to speed up the progress of finding the cure while supporting affected families in the process. They use fundraising events to raise money for their mission. One of their favorite events is the annual Fun Run. The Isabella Santos Foundation's 9th Annual Fun Run will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016.
The team at the Isabella Santos Foundation is working hard to ensure this fall's Fun Run is a success. The event will take place in Ballantyne Corporate Park in North Carolina, and will start bright and early at 8 a.m. It includes a 10k and 5k run for charity and also a 1-mile fun run for kids and those who do not feel like exerting themselves too much.
The Isabella Santos Foundation is looking forward to creating an event that people will remember for years to come. They encourage purple wear of all kinds, including hats, sock, shirts, and even tutus and wigs. They'd like participants to wear their craziest purple gear on race day.
Visitors also have the opportunity to participate in a raffle and silent auction for prizes including vacation packages, gift cards, and sports tickets. To learn more about the 9th annual Fun Run, contact the Isabella Santos Foundation at 704-361-3074.
