Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/27/2016 -- The Lesbians Who Tech Philadelphia Chapter is pleased to announce that their next happy hour will take place on Tuesday, May 3, at 5:30 PM. Lesbians Who Tech is a global organization that helps connect women in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community who either love, or work in, the technology industry. CJ Bachmann, VP of Operations at 1SEO.com Digital Agency, is the City Director of the Philadelphia Chapter, and she encourages anybody and everybody with a love for technology to join them this May.
May's happy will was coordinated by the Chapter's Co-director, Courtney Wilburn, and will be held at Khyber Pass Pub located at 56 S 2nd St, in Philadelphia, PA. Once again, all members of the Philadelphia chapter who attend this happy hour will have yet another chance to acquire new connections, make friends, and enjoy a tasty adult beverage or food item off Khyber Pass Pub's menu. With Philly Tech Week 2016 taking place the same week as their happy hour, attendees are certainly encouraged to visit Khyber Pass Pub to enjoy some drinks with Lesbians Who Tech's Philadelphia Chapter members. Last, but not least, there is no doubt that many Lesbians Who Tech Philadelphia chapter members will also be making an appearance at many of Philly Tech Week's events.
In addition to announcing their May 2016 happy hour, The Lesbians Who Tech Philadelphia Chapter would like to let everyone know that they are running a Kickstarter campaign to help send 12+ queer women to coding school through their Edie Windsor Coding Scholarship Fund. Last year, Lesbians Who Tech raised $40K and was able to send 6 queer women to school to learn how to code. This year, the organization's goal is to raise over $100K, so that they can send 11-15 queer women to coding school.
