The Lesbians Who Tech Philadelphia Chapter Announces Their November Happy Hour

Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/26/2015 -- Following the highly-successful Tech & Innovation Summit in New York City, the Lesbians Who Tech Philadelphia Chapter is ready to host their next local happy hour event. Featuring TED-style talks, workshops on networking, coding and a plethora of other tech-related topics, as well as a Hackathon, the second annual Lesbians Who Tech Summit presented attendees with a multitude of growth opportunities that they are eager to share with the members of the Philadelphia chapter that were unable to attend. The Lesbians Who Tech (and friends) Philadelphia // November Happy Hour will also present fresh topics on current technology-related areas of interest and the future of all things tech.

The Lesbians Who Tech Philadelphia Chapter and their City Director, CJ Bachmann of 1SEO.com Digital Agency, invite all LGBTQ, and allies, from the greater Philadelphia region to join them at Kensington Quarters on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (EST). Kensington Quarters is a full-service American restaurant, butcher shop and bar that is dedicated to supporting the local agricultural industry, and their sustainable practices, through the use of whole animals, seasonal produce and local dairy and artisanal products. This dedication also ensures that they can provide their customers with the healthiest menu options available. The eatery, located at 1310 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia, is set in a warehouse with wooden tables, lending an industrial, but welcoming, atmosphere that melds well with the tech industry. With the Lesbians Who Tech November Happy Hour, they are extending their support to the tech industry by not only providing the location, but by having their head butcher, Heather, participate in the event through a speech to all attendees.

Lesbians Who Tech is an involved community of LGBTQ women who work, or are interested, in the technology industry. While the community was first established in San Francisco in 2012, it has grown to include more than 9,000 women throughout 22 US cities, including Philadelphia, as well as 4 international cities. Whether connecting tech-loving lesbians to their peers, working to increase their visibility within the industry or ensuring that LGBTQ women are becoming an increasingly recognizable part of the gender inequality solution, Lesbians Who Tech's premiere goal is to provide value to their community.

For more information on the Lesbians Who Tech (and friends) Philadelphia // November Happy Hour, visit the event's Facebook page. Tickets are available for free through the Eventbrite website, but donations are welcome, with a suggested donation of $15.
