Last week, Captain Stan Saffan of deep sea fishing experience and charter boat THERAPY-IV discussed some of the best spots to find fish across South Florida, highlighting spots within Miami, Key Biscayne, and the Florida Keys.
Miami Beach, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/15/2016 -- Yellowtail, mutton, and mangrove snappers were seen in large numbers just off of the Miami shores by daytime bottom fishers spending any time near Miami's reefs. These fish were accompanied by other sea dwellers like pilchards, ballyhoo, and bonitos.
Over in Key Biscayne, Crandon Park Marina was particularly active with blackfin tuna and dolphin fish. The former were being found in large schools within depths of 200 to 300 feet. Yellowtail snappers, mutton, and mangroves were also spotted in other marinas like the one in Haulover.
Nighttime bottom fishers may have come across mangrove snappers, mutton snappers, and yellowtails if they spent any time in the Florida Keys. Islamorada in particular saw a significant amount of activity by swordfish and dolphin fish.
